On the surface, Frankie is a typical "rat": a directionless young man who spends his summer days hanging out with a rough crew of friends, doing drugs, and trying to impress a young woman named Simone. However, the film’s tension lies in his double life. As the sun goes down, Frankie retreats into the digital underworld of gay chat rooms, seeking out older men for anonymous sexual encounters.
