Some Hi Sharp DVR models have a physical reset button or jumper on the motherboard.
Panic set in as he tried to recall the password, but it was nowhere to be found. He had set it up months ago, and the note with the password was long gone. The complex's security team relied on the DVR to review footage in case of incidents, and without access, they were blind.
Remove the battery for roughly 5–10 minutes.
: You get access to the live view and menu.
Open the app on your phone, navigate to "More," select "Reset Device Password," and scan the QR code.
: Proceed at your own risk. Incorrect usage can erase your hard drive, brick the DVR, or void any remaining warranty.
This method only resets the password. It will not erase your recorded footage. However, if your settings are corrupted, it may be your only option.

If you cannot access the software menu, you can perform a factory reset using the internal hardware.
