The story is set in 1955. After the tragic death of their young daughter, a dollmaker and his wife open their home to a nun and several orphaned girls. The children soon discover the couple's most frightening creation—the Annabelle doll—and become the targets of a malevolent demonic force.
As the story unfolds, we learn that one of the girls, Esther (played by Sabrina Jalees), is exceptionally gifted and has a unique connection to the spiritual realm.
