There are two main mod loaders for Sonic Generations : the older and the modern HedgeModManager . While most new mods are built for HMM, older mods may not be compatible.

With HMM open, the process is mostly drag-and-drop. You can simply drag a mod's .zip , .7z , or .rar archive directly into the mod list in the HMM window, and it will be automatically installed.
